Latinos in the Super Bowl

The last two team standing for the Super Bowl were the NY Giants and the New England, Patriots. As we know, the NY Giants won the Super Bowl XVLI for the seventh time. It was a hell of a game, 21- 17. However, did you know they are currently over six latinos in the NFL? I'm very proudly to know and announce both teams in the Super Bowl had latinos proudly waving their flags. "No matter which team wins, a player of Puerto Rican will be bringing home a Super Bowl ring. It’s a fact that didn’t go unnoticed on media day," (latino.foxnews.com).

“I think it’s great for obviously the Puerto Rican community,” Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez told reporters in Indianapolis.  “Obviously, there aren’t that many Puerto Ricans in the NFL, but having some in the Super Bowl is also a great deal.”  Many players have their designated move when they score but Cruz wanted to do something different. On an interview in Mun2's, Cruz said his grandmother told him to do something different, something that will define who he is and where he comes from. Well, he has definitely send the "latino in the house" move by dancing salsa when he makes the touchdown.

Its truly remarkable to see someone proud of their heritage specially Puertorican to stand up and show his pride no matter where  and it is. En la letra de Fiel a la Vega "Sere Puertorriqueno aunque naciera en la luna!!"

  1. Haha that was awesome seeing the salsa move there. Great post, it's definitely great to see latinos being represented in the NFL, and seeing them being proud of their heritage.
